I made another, better, nut for my LP this afternoon out of an oversized cow bone blank:

I managed to get in contact with Steve Dawson the guy who designed the Astoria series. I have now modified the amp slightly, I have reduced the gain by about 25% which makes it easier to dial in. I have also reduced the boost setting by quite a bit, again makes it much more useable. Easy to reverse the changes too, just one resistor changed and one capacitor removed.

The kid has some nice toys...Festool plunge saw and track and Domino biscuit jointer plus dominos...about 4 grand right there!
