it wouldn't be a sticky nut or something would it?

Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

I'd say it'd be quite likely. Sometimes a bit of graphite in the nut makes more difference than new tuners. (I'm speaking from experience)

It's a graphite nut and it's clean as a whistle. I have posted about this before. It only happens after I change strings. I wind them right and all that. I am sure it's crappy strings, sometimes it's just the E. I dunno, but it feckin pisses me off. Overdue for another setup and fret dress anyway.
Back to the hardtail RG. Call it Lazarus.

I see BG is bored and doing all that word replacing shiet

Haha.

Perhaps you need to stretch them more? Are you leaving a lot of winds around the tuning peg? There should only be 2 or 3 max otherwise it takes lots more stretching to get the strings right. If the nut hasn't been shaped correctly it may need a little tweaking to get right too. If it is only happening after you change strings one would assume that it has something to do with stretching them properly though.

Otherwise, perhaps you could try tuning flat and then up to the correct pitch. The Kluson style tuners work better that way.
