Do you have a correct schematic?

Sorry to high-jack this thread but I figure you guys might be the best 2 guys to know. We are needing this pot for a 6G6B build, anyone got one?

Yes I have one. But I want it for a build for early next year.Reg18 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 5:57 am Sorry to high-jack this thread but I figure you guys might be the best 2 guys to know. We are needing this pot for a 6G6B build, anyone got one?

However I do need to order some parts to service one of my amps and I’ll probably use banzai so I guess i could replace it then in the interest of getting your amp done !

Re: 6g3 'deux' - lux build(s)
Ok I’ve sorted it
With the 50v centre tap and a 10k bias pot with 22k tail I was able to get enough negative voltage to get the 6v6 tubes in arm the range of 19ma which gave me a PD of about 69%.
The trem is sounding magical now.
I suspect fenders -25v schematic bias voltage is ok for lower B+ but couldn’t get me in range with this PT . There were apparently a few iterations of the PT with the original 6g3 deluxes

Still learning a lot
Also learning not to panic. Just stop, step away from the amp, and research. Don’t just do random shit

Re: 6g3 'deux' - lux build(s)
Well I have one of these beasts up and running.
What to say. Trem is really great. Set the bias on the cooler side and it loves it.
Louder and cleaner than the 6g2 for sure but with some great woody compression leading into drive around mid day.
Really dig the aesthetics of these and excited to pair them with @BG cabs and @jeremys tiki 3d printed emblems.
Thanks again @starfire for the rad face plate logos

Re: 6g3 'deux' - lux build(s)
I'm sure the toddlers were comfortable with just a 6kg box on their laps. Usually they're contending with a week's worth of shopping strewn throughout the pushchair.
