Amp faceplate logo
So I have brownface 6g3 plates but they dont have a face plate logo printed.
I have some white laser decal paper.
I wondered about printing the logo by leaving the lettering transparent and printing the brown face plate colour as a back ground thus just winding up with the white lettering.
Id have to do a few runs to match the tone I guess.
Does anyone know how I;d get a high res image of the deluxe logo.
Alternatively, and actually preferably, I'd like to make own logo but with the fender style font "Tiki Deluxe" and get jeremy the whack off another speaker grill emblem

Re: Amp faceplate logo
Either I would have to:
Print out that block of face plate (to avoid lines) or try to print out just the white lettering and exacto knife it ....headachy

Re: Amp faceplate logo
You'd be better off getting a sticker vinyl cut, Mike does this for the name on some of his Fender builds from memory
Create the logo in a package that can handle vector art and export to SVG and any sign writing place should be able to print you a sticker out!

Would it be individual lettering ?
Or brown background sticker ?
My concern with the brown background in either case is that it would fade over time . Where as white should stay white

Re: Amp faceplate logo
The other option I am considering is hand painting it with white enamel like an old timey sign writer.

Yeah its individual letters cut out of vinyl so you just peel off the backing, stick it to your faceplate, bobs your uncle!StrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 8:38 amRoger that !jeremyb wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 8:34 am You'd be better off getting a sticker vinyl cut, Mike does this for the name on some of his Fender builds from memory

Don't do it anymore - the USA (via Ebay) was where I sold these "lettering decals" but someone over there now does it cheaper. Strummers, suggest you check out Ebay for something suitable.jeremyb wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 8:34 am You'd be better off getting a sticker vinyl cut, Mike does this for the name on some of his Fender builds from memory

Re: Amp faceplate logo
really weird P on this font. With further work it could look a lot less sucky.

This is the only place Brush Script is ever acceptable:
In almost all other combinations of letters, it's a truly awful font, and I hate seeing it used a substitute for the Fender script in cutom headstock logos. It ruins otherwise attractive guitars.
