I’d rather my amp be man made, than by a machine.

I forgot to mention that I finished the 40w amp a while back. Recently, I acquired 5 new custom chassis along with the final SSS chassis that took forever to design. The 5 aluminum chassis don't have preamp holes, which gives me the freedom to customize my own preamp layout based on the prototype circuit (not clones). I've also made the decision to include reverb in all of my prototypes.

Additionally, I have 3 other chassis designs on the way, which will be clone amps e.g. 100w ODS, 100w ODSR custom reverb), and the 100w Two Rock John Mayer. Pretty exciting. I'll leave the 100w projects for later since they're expensive

Oooh, how many watts is the SSS going to be? With reverb?

I hate this thread, I want all of the amps!

I’ve had a lot of amps, more than some, less than others, but the amps that have been the best are the unnamed Kiwi built ones…

Still more chassis design coming through! Once I have all of it, I'll start building. Designing chassis does take a lot of time after work.

I've started on my new build using one of my five custom chassis. After experimenting with the schematic and layout, I'm ready to begin assembling.

The next build will be similar to the 3W amp's preamp but with a blend of Jim Kelley and Ultraphonix topography. It will include a bias tremolo, tube reverb, FX loop, and a KT66 power section with a GZ34 rectifier. It will also have a gain switch for clean, medium, and high gain settings, plus a preamp boost, deep switch, and bright switch and of course a footswitch.

Any other suggestions before I start building? I've given up on the half power switch as well. Sounds better full.

Drilled the preamp holes, additional knobs + back controls. Awaiting the rest of the parts!!

Two different models at the same time? I’ve processed the chassis for one and started populating the first amp since the parts arrived last night. I've also found time to design and order parts for the second amp. Hopefully they both turn out OK!

Progress has been slow with only an hour a day to work on it (thanks to night shifts!), but I’ve drilled the boards, fitted the turrets, and populated most of them.

Amp 1's power section is fully wired. Now, I just need to finish wiring the preamp before moving on to Amp 2. I ran out of wires but big thanks to Mike for hooking me up with a few meters to keep things moving!
