Wow, I’d by that for $700, I’ve spent that on pedals and been disappointed…

Re: Marshmallow's build thread
That's crazy cheap, you need to factor in your time as well as materials, in nz you'll be lucky to get parts for that, unless you bend your own chassis out of aluminum etc and then its your time you're giving away. I'm sure Mike will be able to comment more on his costs.
Tempted to buy that and sell the parts

Dibs if he sells it or you build another! Even with shipping that's a bargain.Marshmallow wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2024 3:39 pmWith this size we're usually looking at 500-700ish. But pretty much let this one go for cheap. Haven't built one in NZ so I wouldn't know the cost .

Re: Marshmallow's build thread
Nah I understand what you mean. This particular one was cheap to make in Japan, which is why I mentioned I wasn't sure the cost to build one in nz. Probably a little more haha. And I do charge time if it was custom work, not from my collection.Bg wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2024 5:58 pm That's crazy cheap, you need to factor in your time as well as materials, in nz you'll be lucky to get parts for that, unless you bend your own chassis out of aluminum etc and then its your time you're giving away. Re: Marshmallow's build thread
Moving up the wattage, next is the single-channel TC Custom 22. It's still one of my favorites. It's not quite a Fender, and not quite a Dumble, and it takes pedals really well and lots of sustain and bloom. The Tweed amp head, however, is on steroids. It can easily go into blues breaker territory but still retains the bloom from a D-style amp. It can do cleans with just a switch and has power reduction and has all the goodies e.g. preamp boost, deep switch and bright and a very reactive mid knob. I should also do a video on this green amp.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Tuboholic. Such an awesome bloke who makes great amps, coffee and has plenty of awesome gear.

Mate's mate running the reverb at 7:00 - for all you guys into reverb.
