Nowadays its done at my mates workshop. It's a 2mm blank aluminium chassis, all I need to do is drill the holes with a hand drill with a step drill bit.

Have glued half the cabinet. Will glue more later. Reverse rabed joint similar to Morganamp's rusty cabinet. Quite strong, just takes a lot of time to accurately cut it.

Sorry slow progress today. Got another order for an amp so started that amp first. In the meantime, I ordered more wood for my new princeton single ended and marshall Jose mod. Seems like I'll be making 6 cabinets this week and all will be green lol

Had a bit of time to complete the mini ods. This one will be going out to America next week. Gonna tidy it up a bit more before sending it out. Been finishing quite late at work so onky working on my amps as much as possible in the evening.




By the way, since upright power transformers are not common in Japan, has anyone tried mounting an L-bracket on a standard horizontal/through PT and then setting the transformer upright as shown?

I usually do this when the amp is jammed with parts, but most of the time though, it goes through the chassis. Some may not think so, but it has worked for me. Of course I will change to upright when I get to NZ. If it's locally available there that is..

There's very little locally available I hate to tell you. I buy resistors from Jaycar and that's about it.

I generally use Hammond iron (PT, OT, Choke) & usually get them from Mouser.
