If you are interested in the theory behind guitar valve amps I can recommend this Playlist, it's really good and goes over a lot of the theory I studied during my electronics apprenticeship.

Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...
