After seeing the video I had to build one - my take of the Vox AC10 SRT which I'm calling a Sixty-One SRT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alBO_yEn5o4.
What an awesome sounding amp and my plan is to make this a combo.
I found a schematic (with errors) and created my own layout which I built on a pre-drilled turret board. This is the prototype.
It's not very tidy but v2 will be.
Tonight I got it going with tremolo and (some) reverb - I'm quite stoked.
Now the modding and tuning begins!

Far out, am beyond excited with this build, may be tempted by a non-reverb and trem version if that will be in the works at any point?

I suspected it would inflate your tyres JB! Removing the reverb is way easier than making it work - the original Vox AC10 SRT used their own reverb tank design which was essentially 2x ceramic cartridge transducers (i.e. from old stereos prior to magnetic cartridges) - apparently done so Vox didn't have to pay Hammond a royalty for their patented reverb tanks! I've got the reverb working with a "Hammond" tank BTW.

SRT is my idea of a grab'n'go amp. This is right up my alley!

Already designing the combo cab in my mind and thinking about 10" speakers

IIRC the original doesn't have master volume, right? Any chance this one can have MV or some kind of power scaling?

I don't know if I could part with my AC10 so maybe I'd have both

Nahhhh it's only 10 watts, thats half as loud as a 100W amp, barely hear it! jeez louise!

Preamp tubes are NOS 12AU7s except V1 (12AX7). Early days yet! Genalex Gold Lion El84's in the power amp.

This sort of stuff encourages amp collection

Correct, no MV. Global Power Scaling is already in the plan - see that joiner in the red wire - that's where I will scale the power amp section only. But gotta get the amp working 100% before I start the GPS experiments PS I tested the amp's power output this morning, it's around 12W RMS clean.

What are you going to do with the prototype?
