New Mesa Dual Rec Faceplate

Post by NippleWrestler »

Image

I made this out of flamed vitex from some fingerboard stock lying around. I made 3 fingerboards from half the plank and this is the other half.

It began like this:

Then sanded to 600 and dyed black with Fiebings leather dye.

Image

Sand that back just like you do with flame maple, then 2 coats of walnut stain, then 4 or 5 coats of thinned wiped on poly, sanding between for that chatoyance.

It's a classy looking thing.

"chatoyance".

I learned a thing!
New word, thank you.

And that's one classy looking Mesa.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Tremoverbs never had tread plate. They originally came with a basket cloth faceplate that looked really good but was long gone by the time this amp became mine. Other dual recs had the tread, which is a bit much for me tbh.
