As in pruning my salad greens?
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: ObaduraibuS 5w and 50w
2X10 is great. Let me know if you really want it back. I was thinking of putting it and my two 12s up for sale and keeping whichever didn't sell first.
I like both but I only need one or the other.
And now that it's not in the Band room, the only amp I'm using at the moment is Optimus and the Fane 12. They sweep all before them.

50w Midi still ongoing However, I will put it on the back burner. Something new came up.
Amplified nation just released the overdrive reverb, that means circuit has been confirmed.

Re: ObaduraibuS 50w
So half of parts have arrived. Still waiting for the internal components and will most likely arrive next week. Will start on the PCb for the relay circuit tonight.
Will be using a Type 9 Reverb for maximum lushness.

Board done and relay circuit is PCB. Preamp/Poweramp and Power supply - turret board. Don't know why it has turretboards instead of eyelet. Trying it out**
Already packed inside. Photo to show the layout.

Re: ObaduraibuS 5w and 50w
Well..
Finished the ODSR 50w. Took 10 days to make.. I will make the head cabinet in the next few months... Or a combo?
Turned it on for the first time today.. Clean, OD and spring reverb sounded so good. That lush reverb is just wow. Tried turretboard this time instead of the eyelet. Conversion to eyelet should only take a day if i get bored seeing turret boards.
I will upload photos of the chassis after Christmas and do a recording of all my gear.
Have decided on the next Project:
20w ODS #102 with single tube reverb.

Your posts and threads keep bringing back one word in my head... "wow!". Your threads just raised 2 questions for me. It's probably been asked elsewhere. Are you coming back to NZ? If so, are you planning to sell any of your creations?

Re: ObaduraibuS 5w and 50w
Haha thanks. This particular ODSR will go to my personal collection.
Was supposed to go back this year but due to COVID, I had postpone it till next year. To answer your 2 questions, yes and yes. I'll probably come back with 6-7 amps then converting them to NZ voltage. I'm happy to sell my personal amps. I'm also happy to build them for NZG members when I return. Actually, I've been building and selling them here in Japan since local stores have been requesting and ordering ODS amps from me. Feel free to try my amps and pedals when I return.
Good parts seems to be much much cheaper in NZ so I think we should be able to build it with a much lower cost than in Japan. NOS parts, transformers etc here in Japan go over the top for some reason. I've sent the schematics to Mike as well, it's the same schematic ODS builders are using (ampnation, bludotone etc).
