5e3 Dumble.

It sounds really good but I think I'll add more modifications to this amplifier just for fun.

Some gut shots. Took some time to convert the standard 5e3 to the Dumble type.

Started to think about the cabinet design as well. I'm thinking a combo amp with an EV speaker inside. Something easy to carry around but large enough to have a deeper sound.

Still waiting for the vox grill but played this in the studio at high volume along with the green ODS. Omg this amp sings. The break up is so smooth you almost don't need an overdrive. Very expressive and sounds expensive. Current speaker I'm using is an evm12s. extremely happy.

Them corner tolex is wrinkling.. what do I do haha 😂 BG do I need heat gun the corner? 🥺

I'd use good strong contact adhesive. CA glue works wonders too! And sometimes a bit of heat - try it on an offcut.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Will try this too. I'll order the CA glue as well. I'm about to have a 5w amp so I will try it with the white tolex. If it works, I will redo the black amp. Thanks m(_._)m

Ditto re the learning - but that's what makes it fun (like improving as a guitarist) - it never ends!
Your work is really neat and tidy - no more or less than mine IMHO.

Thanks!

I think howard modded a few tweed amps back when he first started and that's also including a 5e3. Circuit is very simple. MV, Effects loop and NFB from Robinette as well. The break up is great.

Rob Robinette is a bit of a legend eh. I get many of my Blackface mods from him as well.
