Starting to look like how it should look like. LOL.

Speaker grill arrived. It's similar to the Mesa/Orange grill cloth. Just waiting for the Suede fabric now. I guess I have to make the baffle now.

Change of plans, I'll change the power section from 2w to 18w.

I have finished the 50w. Ended up being a 36/18w half power switch. I'll upload photos this weekend.

Fair enough! I personally don't think I would build a 2Watter... an 18W prolly costs about the same to build, so it seems like better value? It really depends what you want of course

Lookin forward to those pics :)

This was my thinking too, I was gonna ask what the cost difference is cause to me it seems like a lot of cost is in the iron and theres not much different between the iron you need for 2W or 20W...

Haha pretty much. Just about $50 difference for a different transformer. I'm trying different ones here but the 36/18w will be built to an actual dumble spec. I've added bias switch and bias adjustment. No fx loop yet but I'll drill it next month. Was testing how the circuit is for now 🤣

There's an amp maker here who builds ODS-100 with reverb and half power switch. Cost about $4000 and 6 months wait. Might be worth it to bring back to nz and ask him to install a voltage selector. Not sure how good his amps are. Will give it a try and check it out.

Cheers

I welcome the new born baby hulk to the family 🤔 36w of 6v6 goodness. I should go for 100w this time. Sneak peak. I searched everywhere online for a weird combination and I found this one. 🤷 Should I have gone with a suede? Lol

Btw parallel and series switches for the fx loop in the 18w are completely useless.. I've omitted the controls so will make a new faceplate. Standard mix control is enough.

Thanks. There's also a bias adjust at the bottom of the plate. I still need to make a temporary footswitch so I can use it live haha 😂
