Celestion G12T-75 your thoughts on such a cone?

pretty much anyone who has used a 1960A or B some love them (me) -and some dont like their mid scoop.

It's a speaker that's changed design about 4 times in 30 years but kept the same name so there's not any archetypal T75. The current one has been in production the longest though so I guess if there were to be one it'd be that.
The old ones are my favourite speaker. The first run from the early to mid 80s. They have much less of a scoop and a rounder top end as they're essentially a g1265 with a stiffer voice coil, but otherwise the same speaker.
Bogner partner the T75 with v30s in their Uber cab 4x12 and those things are legendary. Incredible sounding things. The v30 covers the mids the modern t75 scoops and the t75 has a huge chunky low end the v30 does not.
Anyway. It's a great speaker in context. I think a lot of folks playing by themselves think it might be thin because of the mid scoop and bright top end, but if play an A chord and a bass player plays an A note, it's fuckin magic.

Hated the single T75 I put in one of my cabs. Hard, bright, characterless. Continued to hate it until about the third song of the gig when I realised it had never been so easy to hear what I was playing and it sounded pretty good.

I have old ones in my 4x12. It's a great sound as far as I'm concerned. Full, rich bass and clear treble. They are mid scooped and as such are not for everyone.

Anyone mixed GT-75's and Greenbacks in the same cabinet? If so, results any good?

Yes its the perfect mix I've done 75s and v30's and greenbacks and v30's but the perfect combo is the 75's and greens.

That makes sense. The T75 came from the g1265 which was a greenback with more power handling. There's a definite lineage.

it was ryan pointed me towards this, previously I'd gone greenbacks and v30, but the 75's were better in the same cab. Its well worth experimenting, in the diagonals in a 4x12
I loved the ported version I made too. 2 green backs in diagonal and 2x12 holes. Pine cab. For a standard sized 1960 cab, I could lift it with one hand.
