Sunday afternoon project

Post by PaulWD »

About a year ago I picked up a radio extension cabinet with the idea of using it with one of my vintage sets. I was looking at it today and wondered if I could squeeze a little giant in there. The chassis itself was an ugly form factor, having started life probably as part of a radiogram.

I think this might make a cute little harp amp.

...
Over the past week I've been waiting for some 6sl7 to arrive for the 5c5, so I put together an 'Uncle Doug modified' fender model 26. Valve lineup is unusual with a 6n7 as a phase inverter. 1946 design.

Finished the fender 26 woody chassis today. Sounds much more sparkly than the 5c5. I scrapped together a set of NOS RCA valves for it.
