Just put another coat of shellac on.

I was going to post pics, then I thought.. oh bugger my camera battery is flat.

Tomorrow you'll have full cab pics (without handle) Its looking bloody good though, I have to say ;)

NB: Disclaimer - the shellac won't harden fully for a month or so. Its fines for shipping, just don't hit anyone in the face with it, or kick it repeatedly for at least 4 few weeks.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

And the room you keep the amp in smells like stale alcohol every morning. Is that the shellac or something else... I tell the wife it's the shellac

Can't let Bg have all the fun...
Couple of foldback cabs for the band. They will be sprayed in that armoured gloop you see on pro PA setups.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Bg wrote:This was my weekend task. I obtained this a year or so back from Dave, my intention was that I would rehouse it and it would be my main amp. I don't have the original pics - maybe dave has. It was in a serviceable yet remarkably ugly housing. Perfectly gigable. I can take pics of the remaining wreckage lol.... Looking at the ampeg badge it was probably a combo originally.

Anyway, I ended up doing the helix thing and then making cabs for everyone else and never quite got around to making one for the ampeg. Consequently it filled with sawdust and I had to blow everything (oh-err) out with compressed air, and then clean all the jack sockets properly etc.

So here it is, in my extremely cramped office now due to bass amp. Need to do a little refinement on the corners yet but its pretty bloody good :)

Geez mate, it's a thing of beauty! :-) When I got it. not so much........
