You must be guttered!

My god I hate when people write that instead of gutted...

Current valve complement, russian rectifier NOS trump model - Edicron 6V6's, a national in the preamp slot and a no brander that does trem duty - remarkably difficult to find a good one for there, some just won't oscillate!!!!

Anyway, shooting a few coats of poly on it tomorrow, denib in between, might scuff the corners up a bit - not sure yet.

That looks great! Isn't it a shame that work gets in the way of doing this project stuff.

All pretty much done bar the shouting.

Baffle this afternoon. Jigsawed the speaker hole (9" for a 10" jensen), I could have routed it perfectly but I was pressed for time today - gutters to fix - and you can't actually see it.

Image

T-Nuts - always fit on the outside of the baffle so they are pulled into the wood when the bolts are tightened.
Framework built around the edges - keeping the cloth away from the baffle.
And always paint the framework, T-Nuts and bolt ends - else they will shine out like mirror balls. Yes the bolt ends too!

Image

I use T-Nuts everywhere that may need to be removed or needs more strength - handle, baffle, back panel.

Image

And pretty much done.... Feet to add, speaker to bolt in, back panels to bolt in. Tomorrows job.

Its not a new amp, its my homebrew tweed vibrolux, I just think it deserves actual tweed and not just pine ;)

Finger joints are certainly strong enough by the time you lavish them in glue - like fender did/does, but something inherently strong about a dovetail :D

Love this thread.

You noted that the combo has a NOS trump model rectifier. Shaped like a small mushroom.
