Cabinet finishing: tolex/ grill cloth combo ideas

So it's looking unlikely I'll find the blue fleck Valco/gretsch tolex for the gretsch build.
Any cool ideas for a simple 1x12 cab look as far as tolex/grill cloth is concerned? chassis mounted vertical in the back.
If I could dove tail I'd consider stained wood and a beige grill cloth.
On hand I have some black and some crewm tolex.
