It lives - The Nikotine Boost

Post by Zaulkin »

Hey folks,

I've been tinkering around with this pedal for way too long - The Nikotine Boost. This one is similar to the '33' boost everyone loves.

I have been working on a project where I am making my own custom rig - Guitar, pedal(s), cables, amp, speaker cabs etc, so I will post them up as I do them. There is something really fun and satisfying about it and so far I have been pretty pleased with the results.

I'll admit I am not the best at electronics and I had a lot of help from Matt (Optical here on the forum) who started the idea by giving me a spare PCB and by helping me troubleshoot it as it came together. Thanks heaps Matt!! Also thanks Tez for one of your spare boards for the switch.

I pretty much painted by numbers for the circuit, then designed and printed the pedal, gave it a clear coat, drilled it, and put everything together. Pretty cool pedal and a boost is always handy.

Just keep it out of reach of the children... its not big and its not clever to let the smoke out of a pedal!
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.
