I’ve just put together this Fuzz based on the Coloursound One Knob fuzz schematic. I really like it but it’s like all classic fuzz circuits and doesn’t like pedals in front of it.
I don’t mind this for the most part but I think
This one might actually make it onto my pedal board so would like to know if it’s possible to make it play nicely with my other friends.
Is there any easy way to add a buffer to this circuit? Or is it a complete redesign sort of situation?

Re: Pedal building help needed
Buffers can be added anywhere, all they do is accept a high impedance and convert it to low. Op amps do this by themselves.
If it sounds good or has a use will remain to be seen as some fuzzes notoriously sound like shit with a buffered input. You could always put it on a switch though I guess, or lift the current input wire and splice in a daughter board to see how you like it.
This is the basic thing, and you can use a tl071 since it only uses the single opamp

Are you saying it doesn't sound good with a buffer Reg? Not sure why you want to add one then?

Well I’m not sure, it’s very similar to the fuzz face schematic though so I guess all fuzz face hacks would work with this too.
It seems maybe a pickup simulator is possibly more what I’d need?

Depends what you're trying to achieve bro? I hav built a couple of clones over the years, I just wired them true bypass and put then first in the chain... or at least before a buffered bypass pedal. When the fuzz is disengaged, the buffers on your following pedals will be working.
Pedal sounds fat btw

looks fantastic too
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Re: Pedal building help needed
I’ve decided to just leave this one as is and sell it. Think I’ll look into a guitar pickup emulation type circuit on another build and see how it goes. Sounds like a buffer will kill the vibe of this one.
