Here's another one I found today. It needs a lot of work but will be fun nonetheless.

1968 Supro Lexington. Needs two pickups, pickguard, bridge and trem. I'm probably not going to aim for back to original because the right parts could be impossible to find. This one will probably become a quirky player.

made a pickguard, installed a P90. Need to locate a selector switch but otherwise most the works been done. Used a Teisco style anchor point for the strings because the correct Hagstrom trem is way too expensive for what it adds. I'm thinking of making an interwebs thing focussed on 'junk' guitars that are fun, old guitars made usable now. Would this work? They would almost always be sub $500 usd guitars made in the 40s to 70s. I like cool old weird shit with usable parts if that's any inclination of my intentions!!!

For sure, but I'd very much like to find Jem's for home. I'm not in a position to need to work. That in no way means that we're rich or privileged, what it means is that the life choices we've made means my wife works 2 and a half days a week, I homeschool my kids 3 days a week (the days are overlapping) and my in-laws have my kids for 2 days each week. I get to spend a lot of time with my kids which is an unbelievable blessing. I also get a day or two to hunt weird old guitars, which found in the right environment here, are cheap. They're mostly messed up with some weird bits but you know what?:I can ship stuff! I'll post more when things come up.

I reckon if you're gonna do the interwebz you should be creating vids of your process for tiktok / instagram etc and build a following that way, costs you nothing and will engage the largest audience!
