'64 Cherry 335 spotted

Nothing happening on this part of the forum for years so time to give it boost for '23.
Yes it's a Clapton era 335 in good nick and here in Auckland City at The Guitar Gallery in Queen Street.
I've not seen one as old as this around the traps for many many years, it's not on their site so a call in is required.
These gats are close to my heart because they're so resonant and this one's no exception, but, you gotta be well heeled because she ain't cheap at $50k asking, so it's maybe trade in the mother in law time(and hopefully she won't put up a fight).
Doin' that scrapyard thing.

Nice! Yep, that's been there for a bit. Price has moved up and down a little too.

As an aside, I valued up a '63 just recently - cherry also. Also in Auckland.

They're around, but yeah, few and far between. Every now and then someone sends me a line on something and I'm "wow"! So good to know they're out there!!

You could buy a new one from the Rockshop and have $43,001 spare.

Wisely people hold on to these old guitars, however whether new or old it's got to have a fat neck for me to think about it any more.

I'm just waiting for my Dad's 1977 ES355 to come my way. It's only insured for £10k, so basically an Epiphone compared to the '64 335
