my Grandfather had a mean pair of Brass Knuckles and quite the collection of Butterflies pinned to a framed board.

he was a Mechanic and went to work in his Slippers
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Is it just me or have prices eased a wee bit on these? Or are the big bucks only for the most pristine of instruments?
Not that I could ever afford one.

It's a fake...
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

He's probably already rubbing his hands together

But to be fair to him, I have heard that he always pays whatever something is worth and he never takes advantage of anybody. If he saw an elderly person that had a mint condition '59 LP and they were none the wiser as to its' value, he wouldn't screw them over. Well at least that's what I have heard

There's been a few of these on that forum over the years that have turned out to be disingenuous.
Some people just get a buzz out of the fuss they create I spose. Sit at the computer and read all the comments... whilst masturbating furiously.
Not saying this happened here but... y’know. ....

From the same guy with the Manfred Mann Pickup story:

He was talking to Lou Walmsley from The Underdogs (look them up, kiddies) about past gear and Lou mentioned his Les Paul from the early days of the band. Here's a picture of it from 1966.

Think about that for a moment.....

What you're looking at is a 1959 Burst, plugged into a Jansen amp, gigging in a Kiwi pub.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
