Sold a bunch of shit I shouldn’t have, for whatever dumb reason.
Dave Murray copy, ibanez as103, my Edwards custom ... yikes. The list is too huge to write here lol.

Things I should have kept:
1) '62 Guild X-175
2) Teisco EB-200 bass.

Found this in Musicworks Greenlane just after I'd bought a Volvo for my wife. Went back and played it 3 times over the next 6 weeks as I scrabbled to find the money.

Finally succeeded, raced down to Greenlane and....
They'd given it to Al Hunter a couple of days before.
Given!

Back when I was 16 or so (early 90's) I went to a Patrick Eggle guitar clinic in Birmingham, UK. The late Big Jim Sullivan was playing it (very tasteful player) along with a long haired lanky guitarist called Jan Cyrka (had moments of being tasteful - however he did have a rather nice tone from memory). Not sure why he was doing the clinic as he was oddly trying to promote them and sing their praises whilst doing his set with his hand-painted(s) 9-'s Kramer shred machine.

At the end of the clinic we hung round for a bit and had the chance to purchase a stunning Berlin Pro at near enough half price, this would have been around the year they were launched.

Can't remember why I didn't buy one but I think it was due to my Dad talking me out of it, "there's plenty of better guitars around for that price son." I remember lying awake at night for the next month or so feeling pretty deflated

I was bidding on eBay once on a Macaferri made from bakelite. I thought it was going to be hard to explain it to the wife and let myself get outbid.

I saw a Rickenbacker 4005 bass for sale in Wellington in the early 90s. From memory it was going for about $1200. I didn't have $1200

A couple of guitars I sold when i was a teen in 1980s, but the chances that I would have not sold them them between then and now are next to zero. A mid '50s Gibson SJ and a 70s Ibanez Les Paul. They are the only two that I kick myself for selling, but I do miss my SG. Water under the bridge, spilled milk and all that.

The maple resonator sold by k1w1 to Molly then by Molly to someone via trademe. 2 opportunities missed. I thought it looked great.

The ‘64 SG standard called Frank...100% original. Sold in the 3 minutes my data wouldn’t work in our rural property for about 60% of market price. Aside from the Frank truss rod cover, it was super clean. I still crywank occasionally for this one.
