Auckland / Northland Gearfest: February 2023 maybe?

Post by robthemac »

I had a blast at the last one. Let's do it again before I go back to work.

Mid to late Feb maybe?

Last venue worked well. I thought. Maybe three rooms though, so the poor acoustics have a little space to breath.

Open to suggestions.

The thought of fifteen sweaty men congregating in a small, airtight room on a humid summer's afternoon doesn't tempt you?

Add a few cranked Marshalls to get the mercury really cooking...

Are you relatively isolated? Or have understanding neighbours who don't run refrigeration companies.

I don't know if Bruce's deck would hold forumites and amps (except maybe a few ToneMasters). Wouldn't want a Cave Creek scenario.

If it’s Feb then pre 15th ideally, I’m leaving for an overseas tour then. Would love to make it for this one too!

I did one a few years back, most of my neighbours are renters with a high turnover. We also hold the AGM here, it doesnt exactly get raucous, and like I say, it'll be an ad-hoc thing.
