Yeah; you don't want to become gindependent.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Did you book your return slot in MIQ?
I have no idea when I can return yet, that’s the biggest problem :(
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Yeah, I appreciate that, and it sucks. It’s just that there is a very long wait for MIQ places—months. You might want to have a place booked, even if you then need to move it later.

Situation sucks, and I think several of us on here can relate. My dad passed during the aftermath of 9/11 and I was living in the USA. I could not get a flight to the UK at short notice, nobody could. Best I could do was make it to the funeral :-(

Sorry to hear about this man, the uncertainty must be tough.
Just a bit of advice - apparently it’s far easier to reschedule a MIQ slot than to book one at short notice. You may want to book the first available slot and then reschedule as needed.

It makes it harder as I need a return flight booked prior to the miq place afaik, so I need to move both the flight and the place.

I'm going to have to be refresh king.

I'd love too, but its a struggle getting cash sorted for this trip. I have no idea how long I'll be there - my workplace won't hold my job open longer than a month maybe. I could be waiting for miq for longer.

Ah bugger, not good. Having all my family in the UK and parents with health issues I'm expecting something along those lines coming up, but being on the other side of the world definitely makes it hard.

I hope something works out for you.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.
