Central location (a few hundred meters from the Harbour Bridge), heaps of parking, cheap and no immediate neighbours. No separate rooms for acoustic guitars +/- whatever a 'black mamba' is, but oh well.

Still looking into the school hall option. It might be too close to neighbours (and have no bathroom facilities).
This looks promising. The wife and kids can have a picnic while we do the gearfest lol
That's brilliant. I'll sell it as a family activity, then disappear for three hours with a bunch of strange blokes, sinking beers and going deaf.
I go there weekly with my son. He loves riding his scooter there. Yeah, sell it at a family activity :)

I'm guessing if you're going with your wife and kids you're only bringing one guitar and maybe one amp?

COVID obviously isn't permitting Auckland gearfest this weekend.

Reg and I had an impromptu mini-gearfest yesterday. Was bloody good fun. I think I'll pencil one in for Feb / March in Auckland.

Who has a diesel generator?

The Bishop strikes me as a black-grey burst PRS with gold hardware type of guy. And a stack of Mesa Boogie Rectos that aren't actually plugged in.
