That's a bit racial, my Grandad was Polish.

It was funny when all the Polish people started moving to the UK, lots of people, especially the tradies, hated them because they turned up on time, worked hard and did a good job. Unlike your average English tradie. Guys would start on about how much they despised them, all sorts of racist talk, jokes etc., then I'd casually mention that my last name was Novak, it was Polish, as was my Grandfather. Lots of fun watching them squirm... :D
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

Tyrone, that sounds a lot like kiwis in Aussie, my brother says the companies he's worked for there try to avoid hiring Aussies if they can, too lazy

It's true from what I've been told as well, my best mate moved to Melbourne, he runs a big plumbing shop (think Plumbing World), he's fired all the Aussies and hired a bunch of Kiwis. His store constantly wins in-house performance awards as a result and the only other store that gives him a run is managed by a Kiwi guy from Cambridge he used to work with when he ran the Bunnings down there.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

Yeah, that makes sense. If someone's had the initiative to leave their own country to find work elsewhere, it's a pretty fair bet that batteries are definitely included, so to speak. You're not going to move overseas unless you're ready to really make a go of things.

The same goes for so many nationalities or races with a fame for being hardworking: they're probably no more hardworking than anybody else, it's just that the ones that were lazy or lacked initiative, stayed home.

YES!!!

Will bring along my re-acquired Gretsch 6117 for twangnsnarl...I figure it's got his sort of vibe going on.

SG Special, maybe a fat neck Jnr, Firebird of some form.

Will bring Swart STR, the Morgan of doom, RedPlate, /13 and various cabs n stuff. If I have room Ill chuck in the JMI as it's had some tweaks and sounding GOOD.
