Are you bringing that one home? I can't recall seeing that one in CHC.
I think I brought this one along to that acoustic fest we did years ago. It's definitely coming back, it's a keeper for me. It's traveled to England, the US, NZ and Japan!
So it did! Damn... dunno how I missed it...
I think we were all so distracted by kdawg's old Martin?!?!?!?

Bah! Who want's to go "plinky-plonk, talky, talky" when you can go "CHUG, CHUG, CHUG, CHICKA, CHICKA, WIDDLY, WIDDLY, WIDDLY" at deafening volumes?!
Anyone wanting to avoid whiplash and addled bowels.
Actually, just thinking that's the MOST amp I've ever heard. It's quite an experience!
Thank you to everyone who was kind enough to comment with advise or guitars that they would advise. Awesome group of people on here.
So in saying that, I did a thing today and brought home this amazing unit. I know there are far superior guitars out there that probably sound like an angel singing you along to heaven but I must admit, when I saw this guitar I fell in love.
Had the guy at the store play it for me and WOW it sounds incredible, I can't wait to learn as much as I can now!

now on to the fun stuff!
Buying another one!
Nah nah, first of all he has to buy an amp, or rather a mini PA system to run the acoustic DIs he’ll buy and want to run in stereo because the delay and verb pedals he’s bought both have stereo in and out. then he’ll discover his Yamaha just isn’t cutting through enough so he’ll need something else…

Nice one, hope you enjoy it! Just remember, it won't sound like the guy in the store until you've been playing a while!

That guitar and I have met. It's certainly done some Livin'!
Is that my old one? The one I brought round to Olegs place that time? 1974 d35 if I recall.
That's the one. What I can no longer recall is how it got to my place.
I have been very lucky to find 3 acoustics that cover all the basses that I want. The Yairi and then,

The Martin still survives. It's got an appropriate pickguard and flight case now. I refer to it as the 'shipwreck guitar' because it really looks like it survived one.
It's been passed around a few Appalachian bluegrass sessions now and has been very highly praised, I've even had a fairly notable and renowned picker offer to buy it, but it's just too good to let go.

This one however is the keeper of all keepers. 50s Harmony H1205. It's so light and resonant and sounds so good.

I think you'll find that none of those are basses.

They are if you talk in a deep voice as you play them.
