NGD, MIM 58 Jazzmaster reissue.
Desert sand, anodized pick guard.
..... I'm joking, it sounds really good. Kinda like some of those Novak JM gold foils though.
I received this as part of a trade and it's a really nice guitar. Obviously, being a JM, I'll change almost every bit of it apart from the body, neck and pick guard. ..... I'm joking, it sounds really good. Kinda like some of those Novak JM gold foils though.

Has anyone here tried those Novak JM gold foils? Curious minds need to know.

Re: NGD, MIM 58 Jazzmaster reissue.
Novak does a JM gold foil humbucker too which I'm seriously looking into. I think one of those in the bridge and a single coil JM GF in the neck would make for a pretty sweet guitar.

Re: NGD, MIM 58 Jazzmaster reissue.
I have these pickups and a suitable harness available so I'm thinking of heading down this path....

Spooky, I almost commented that filtertrons would be fun in a JM!

I've got a spare set of white covers. I was thinking of some careful dremelling to create openings in them for the trons to sit in so they kind of become pickup surrounds.StrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 6:45 amNew pickguard im assuming?

It would have been a great combo of cantankerous, old, beer soaked ludite and progressive, tech savvy, forward thinking, hip, aware, good bloke.
It still amazes me that you're a cantankerous, old, beer soaked ludite!
