Do you remove the trem cover on your Strat?
Mine stays on and I've elongated the holes to make string changes easier.

Yes, but because I like having access to the claw screws to adjust the feel.

I took it off to adjust the tension, and left it off for a while to make sure I'm happy with it. Now I can't find where I put the cover!

But how do you change the strings now?
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll spend thousands on fishing equipment he'll use for a bit, then get bored and move onto something else.

I leave it off as its not flush with the body and that sucks IMO.

Ummm.... I take them off and lose them but I just noticed the G&L still has one. Probably because with typical G&L common sense design, there's a handy lack of plastic over the trem block.
I also noticed it's black while the pickguard is white. So this tells me two things: I have a worrying lack of observational skills and OCD doesn't play any part in my life.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I leave it there. At a stage in life ands that's been a while where I like things stock and unmolested. Same with my old cars.

I need an option that says “I leave it on until the first time I need to take it off, then I never put it back on again - no reason”
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Re: Do you remove the trem cover on your Strat?
My trem cover lives in the guitar case for the guitar, which I rarely open as the guitar is always on a stand, but I went in there the other day and found a strap and the trem cover and was quite confused why either of them was there, I think I've got alzheimers or something some days!

The Jackson has its one as its flush mounted. The SX still has its one, but that's because it lives in the case for my JM...
