Bridge posts
Looking for some bridge posts for what I believe to be a Tonepros AVT2 bridge.
A previous owner of my LPJ has added a new bridge which works ok, and I’m for the time being happy with, however the bridge sits on an angle to the bridge posts. The existing posts seem straight enough however I’m worried about them possibly bending under tension as the angle is off.
Anyone got any correct posts for this bridge??
My opinion is that will make decent intonation an issue with the angle as well.
Not really wanting to revert to stock ..,happy to take advice

Re: Bridge posts
I can't see the tension on the posts being any greater due to the angle, intonation could be affected if at extremes of adjustment. Aesthetically not pleasing though.
A shim under the bridge on each post (like a modified washer, cut to be like a U) would help, it would raise your action a gnats bollock though.

So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Re: Bridge posts
It's supposed to have a slight gap to allow either end of the bridge to be at different heights, your gap is a bit larger than normal though. Intonation shouldn't be an issue as you can adjust it for each saddle anyway.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Re: Bridge posts
I have set of Chrome posts here, how thick is the bridge at the ends? My posts have a 7mm gap.

Re: Bridge posts

Re: Bridge posts
Hi I have measured as best I can and the existing bridge appears to be around 7mill ,, measuring with a folded tape measure …not calipers so can’t be precise. Are the posts definitely for a gibson post hole??? Where are you based and how much would you be after for the posts ?sizzlingbadger wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 4:19 pm I have set of Chrome posts here, how thick is the bridge at the ends? Re: Bridge posts
I'm based in the Wairarapa, I can't remember where the posts came from, but I have a feeling they are Tone Pro's and I bought them as a set with a bridge which was used on another guitar (very likely a Gibson). The post have never been used, they have the inserts too so you can swap them if the threads don't match. I can send them out to you for free, they are just sitting in parts box doing nothing.

Re: Bridge posts
They would be best, I think they have screws in the top that clamp down on the bridge once you have set the height.

Re: Bridge posts
On second look, I think my studs above are actually Gibson, that were replaced with TonePro's
