NGD - again!

Post by angry_young_poet »

Woohoo, after much searching I got a guitar to get me started again.

I really wanted a vintage style Strat and I was just walking past the local cashies and found this.

Squier Classic Vibe 60s strat in 3TSB for a few hundies. Stoked!

Now to find a nice small tube amp!

If you are just getting into it again (im assuming you are an adult learner here), then I would eschew the small valve amp idea and look for a good quality low powered transister jobby to get you started. A lot cheaper and more plentiful and also good for a backup later on: I use mine for pumping out backing tracks from youtube that I can noodle along to.

Hope you are well buddy! Good to see you here!

In amp news, I picked up a Blackstar HT5. Was tossing up between this or a Vox AC4 but decided switchable channels would be a nice option.

Can’t wait to get going!
