I've bought from here for car paint (PPG Deltron) before, been a while. Thought I'd check for PPG Speedlac and there it is.

You'd have to follow up with colour tint detail code whatever.

WPC group. Auckland and Whangarei only I think. They might deliver if you want me to give you a contact.Lostininverness wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 11:06 amWhere did you end up buying it from? My google skills are letting me down to try and find a supplier....robthemac wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 9:31 amI haven't sprayed it with enough skill to speak authoritatively. But my experience is that is feel a lot more like old nitro than what Gibson are spraying on their non-Custom Shop instruments. It's super soft and wears very quickly. Doesn't have the plasticky feel. I haven't had it crack with temperature changes yet (not that I've tried deliberately) but I suspect that's to do with my poor technique.
Otherwise ask PPG themselves.

Progress... the vintage blonde nitro lacquer finish has been curing and 1500-3000 grit sanding has been done. 4 coats of clear now on. Sanding 5000, then 8000 and then polish till around 12000.

Nice Mike, are you doing the sanding?
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

No, I'm just an observer of the build like you guys. Andries Vorster is building it for me.
