Noticing the recent purchase of SB, inspiration hit home and I thought that at the end of 14 years with a company, if they had no farewell present, I’d get my own.
Behold, the Gretsch G5122 Electromatic for your viewing pleasure.
Was the filthiest guitar I think I’ve ever bought but elbow grease and patience has brought back the sparkle.

Thats nice... was it on TradeMe ?
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Yeah it was.
Everything is surprisingly ok considering the state of the case and guitar.
Pickups have been swapped out although seller doesn’t think they have been.
Sounds ok for now.
Plays bloody wonderfully!!
