I’d love a Gretsch one day but I need to be schooled on their ranges and which ones are worth looking at

The one in this thread is gorgeous, the wine red-esque colour is so good

It is a hard colour (Fire Stick Red) to photograph, its a bit lighter than it looks in my photo's.

The Gretsch website has some photos that capture it well. https://www.gretschguitars.com/gear/bui ... 2517110595
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Changed the strings and did a setup, not much required adjusting to be honest, but I don't like the bridge with its bit of wire holding the adjusters in, they move about a bit and can jam up when trying to adjust them. I have ordered a $60 Gotoh to replace it. Everything else is fine.

Its a really great looking guitar. Looks like the japanese ones due to the small headstock which is cool.
Some crazy value around in the new guitar market for sure.
Whats your take on the broad'tron pickups? Do they sound more filtertron or HB?

The pickups are nice and bright but have some poke, in-between HB and Filtertron at a guess.
