Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics
Going by the seymour duncan specs it should fit a covered humbucker

Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics
I'll be getting a MrGlyn's Integrity, his PAF style pickup, Warren did a review of it with the bellbirds I have already

Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics
Well the votes are in and I've gone with the winner, Nickel covered!

Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics
Had a good convo with Glyn, the covers are standard humbucker size so no concerns there, also he will give it some mild wear so it fits in with the rest of the guitar, legend!

Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics
I am doing the same to my Strat at the moment. They may be cousins.
I have gone for Black Strat, vintage aesthetic / modern spec rosewood neck, mintgreen pickguard and nickel covered humbucker, all with a bit of natural wear.
I have a new prototype harness to use too, so I am looking forward to giving that a good run.

Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics
This is the only HSS I’ve ever liked. So black all the way.

Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics
Sounds very tasty!
Cheeky bugger! I've just ordered the existing HSS one from Conway

Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics
Haha, there won't be any functional difference from your point of view.
We are just combining the HSS and HSH harness with some clever switching.

Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics
You sure you want to do this? A tighter humbucker tone can be achieved with a SC size humbucker. And you don't have to carve-up your strat.
Also, remember you'll need a short legged humbucker.
Lastly, don't.

Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics
I’m not so precious about it any more, it’ll get more playing with a humbucker in the bridge and ideally I’d like to get down to one electric
