You are more man than me; I had my post-coital cigarette after the pics of the SA's.

Re: Hollow and Semi-Hollow guitars thread
I was due to buy one from Music Works, Christchurch. Salesman had taken the stock one for himself but said there was another incoming. I put my dibs on it, left my details, and never heard from them again... Poor show, eh?
Nice guitar.

We had a couple arrive at MW here in the BOP a few weeks ago. Didn't last long. Bloody fine instruments.

I bought mine sight unseen. It was a tiny bit of an anxious moment when I opened the case at ChCh MW, but turned out perfectly fine. As you said, bloody fine instrument.IMOCD wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 9:58 amWe had a couple arrive at MW here in the BOP a few weeks ago. Didn't last long. Bloody fine instruments.

Yes I brought mine sight unseen too. I ordered mine through The Nelson store, wanted the Classic finish only to be told by the young salesman who also was wanting to get one and in the Classic finish, the only finish left in stock was Red . So I settled with the Red one, very happy with it but needed a bit of a setup string buzz on the low E string etc.Other than that I would definitely buy another Eastman, have been thinking of getting the SB59 model and I only see on Music Works site the Sunburst model is still available but yeah wanted the Gold Burst .codedog wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 10:17 amI bought mine sight unseen. Yes they make violins and Orchestral instruments some of which are in the high price range.

Oscar LaDell was playing an Eastman goldtop LP with p90s at a recent solo gig. His 50s blues sounded fabulous and it totally looked the part. Of course the player had a bit to do with it as well! No hope for me then, .

Here you go Danny... Full hollow body built by yours truly in 2017 from macrocarpa and blackwood. I changed my own pickups out for a TV Jones T-Armond set.
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

About time you showed up.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

This thing sounds wonderful!
