This is my favourite all time gretsch. Nothing beats it.

This is the only one I have seen for sale, other than mine some 6 years ago...suffering the same binding fit mine had. I wonder what price the market could bear for a fixed version?

Someone got the strings wrong too, over the bigsby...but halfway through the photoshoot they realised!

That (and yours) is unbearably cool. I'm looking at getting into an 'alt country' (hate that term!) project. Since I've already got a telecaster here, I'm thinking pro/duo/fire jet with Dynasonics as a backup/different colour. May look at putting on together as a bit of a project.

I love how my Mac fixes typing for me. Replace “fit” above with rot…

DSV 6128 - great guitar but needed a refret out of the box, or at least a real good going over, and back then I wasn't game to. I purchased it new from Rocky Street Sounds. They were great to deal with. That's an aftermarket bridge. Probably should have held onto this one.

This was a basket case - I fixed it up...turned out pretty good. Too massive to use live though.

I loved the cases Gretsch were doing occasionally in the late 60's/70's. My '71 came in this thing. In speaking with a worker who left towards the mid 70's, he said, "what came out of the Gretsch factory on any given day was down to the quality of the drugs we were taking...". That does explain a fair bit!

Sorry no clips, but played the Falcon on Sunday and man Gretsch guitars are the best. So different to any of my other guitars. You kind of wrestle/fight the guitar in a good way. Tone for days.

In the past I've had a Gretsch Falcon, 6118 Double Anni, 6128T Duojet Doublecut, a Firejet to name a few, might have forgotten one or two, but sadly I couldn't gel with any of the Gretsch guitars
