Best cell phone tuner app ?

Post by vinylguy »

Hi Guys, have just updated my phone from an old blackberry 9800 to an Oppo A94 and was wondering what the best tuner app to get is ?

Would be mainly for acoustic in the event that I find myself somewhere needing to tune a guitar.

Any suggestions ?

Cheers,

I still use the TC Polytune...not sure if it's still available, but it works real well. EDIT: Dang, sorry, I'm on iPhone.

sadly, or gladly, iphone audio is the best. Why android haven't fixed this is beyond me. I had to go back to iPhone after my android loving years, because hearing aid accessibility. Android still can't do recording/playback with miniscule lag. Or they choose not too.

Maybe its the phone makers... I feel its not though.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

I really like the one called GuitarTuna over all the others mentioned.

I havent found one that does anything other then EADGBE without paying though.

There's an incredibly accurate tuner in Amplitube if that's your thing.

Gstrings lets me change to drop D, banjo, open G, etc. No payment required...

Well im not a huge cell phone user and the Blackberry was a gift from my eldest. Had an awesome battery life and fits easily in your pocket. Now upgraded to an Oppo.

I went with the Fender app and it seems to do everything I need without being too complex. Was also free !
