Shipping guitars to USA
Thinking of selling one of my Veritas and selling here would be very buyer dependent, much bigger buyer pool overseas.
Anyone shipped guitars from here overseas and have any recommendations? Trying to figure out what shipping might cost.
Cheers!

I've sent to Japan before, just Via NZ Post...no problems at all. $200 tracked.

I’ve been trying to arrange shipping to the USA for my Suhr. Cheapest price was NZ Post at a whopping $750. FedEx wanted $2200. Prices for shipping seem to have gone insane recently (yes yes I know COVID)

That seems more like my experience doing quotes online, $200 would be amazing!

Probably due to value

That's a fast service...I just went into the store and asked for the basic track and trace air post. Maybe they only offer courier services now?

Re: Shipping guitars to USA
Can you disassemble body and neck and ship in a shorter box? Not much help if there's a case of course.

Re: Shipping guitars to USA
Is it possible for a buyer to arrange shipping from their end using say, FedEx, with a pickup in NZ? Yoiu might need to pay a portion, but it might be wayyy cheaper, especially if they have an account. Prices we see are Ultra Retail ++ MAX extra-shafty....if you have an account often the rates are half!

Honestly under $500 seems ok to me. Still less than half Fedex...GrantB wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 3:01 pm Is it possible for a buyer to arrange shipping from their end using say, FedEx, with a pickup in NZ?
