NGD- Tele Elite

Post by lukewillasick »

about two months ago I won a competition that 'Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes' did for the Stagehand charity.
The prize was a Fender Telecaster Elite that was one of their guitarists actual stage guitars.
Today it finally turned up (was a long wait that's for sure).
It isn't a model that I would naturally lean towards, but after an initial play it is pretty rad.

Congratulations! That'd be a great workhorse guitar if you were so inclined. Might need a plastic tip for the pickup switch, or at least keep a first aid kit in the case.

I like these guitars. I need a fix tail, fender scale, black, recessed heel, binding. It has these things.

I don't think this is black. I believe it's called texas tea.

I really enjoy my elite. I like the modern appointments.

For the Elite, it was Mystic Black. The Texas Tea finish was only introduced on the subsequent Ultra series.

Bit of a ding in the fretboard there, but hey, sweet prize. Black with binding looks killer.
Loving it so far

There are a few dings on the fretboard, and the body, but I’m all good with that, I quite like a guitar I don’t feel too precious about.
New strings and crank up the AC15 on the weekend to try it out properly is on the cards I guess.

A lot of us don't even know that there are more than four frets.
