NGD.

Post by philbit »

This finally arrived this morning. Eastman T486 in red, wanted one in the classic finish "but you can't always get what you want" 🤔.
Anyways this is bloody nice, flame maple body and sides Nitro cellulose finish. Ebony fretboard, Seymour Duncan jazz & 59 p/ups and Hardcase included.

That looks lovely! I've been eyeing up Eastman guitars too. The great interweb seems to have little but good things to say about them. I can see one in my future if timing works out!

Kind of, all their top models are either nitro or even thinner french polish (for those who think nitro sucks out the tone). The nitro option is new, but it is kind of a step backwards in terms of old-school purity. :?

The french polish finish marks up really easily, however. It makes nitro seem like poly in comparison :D

French polish is easily fixable though, well it is if you have experience in french polishing.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.
