Before the sun sets on this most prestigious NGD...

(Well technically it's already set, but you know, metaphorically speaking)

Have had this in my possession for a week but just paid the remainder today, put my strings on it, did my setup etc, seems real now, and posting here is the final seal of the deal.

2018 R7.

Never thought I'd really own one of these but now I do.

I know I'm going to get a ribbing, so before it starts I'll do it myself. Sounds just like a 335. 😂😜

Shouldn't these things be stinky, dirty and appear to be falling to bits? I thought only then it would be liked by forum people, right?
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

It's got a few knocks and dings having been the main player of it's previous owner, but thankfully not stinky or falling to bits. Smells Gibsony.

This is a bonus. Imagine the stress of gigging an immaculate guitar!

That's subjective I guess. It's more vintage accurate, non weight relieved, has a few subtle differences to those models. But whether those differences are worth the extra money is up to the person spending the money. It's certainly the most I've spent on a guitar, but somebody here on this forum said 'don't think of the money as gone, just invested somewhere else' (or something like that), so that helped me justify it.

Yeah I'm stressed enough as it is, lol. I was anxious just picking it up at first, but getting used to having it and starting to enjoy it more.

I genuinely don't choose guitars with my eyes anymore and I generally don't get on with Les Pauls. But every Lester I've fallen for has been an R7. Can't figure that out.
Happy Awesome New Guitar Day Cam. :D
