Reverend does a Strat copy
As both a bit of a Strat purist and a fan of Reverend guitars I'm not sure how to feel about this. One of the things I like about Reverend is the unique designs and practical innovations, plus I tend to shun Strat copies that don't say 'Fender' on them, so while I don't want to like this I actually kind of do:

Hmm, I'm with you on that one. It looks to have some very smart and usable modifications. Hope we see one in NZ soon.mr_sooty wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 11:50 am As both a bit of a Strat purist and a fan of Reverend guitars I'm not sure how to feel about this. I believe so. I haven't actually tried them. I think they're rechargeable or something.

I think that's what Greg Koch plays too. I don't know of anyone else who use them.

I barely even like Strats but I quite like that. Locking tuners are a must and to have them stock saves time and money. The equivalent Fender would be thousands upon thousands. Recently got interested in Reverend as an alternative choice, myself.

The pickups sound really good - if you can be bothered with batteries or recharging:

(I can't).

Re: Reverend does a Strat copy
It really looks like "Just Another Strat".
I should have prefaced that by saying that I don't feel the need for what a Stratocaster does, and I'm quite tired of seeing them and the variants of the shape, so there is a certain bias in my comments. The majority of the Reverend range looks distinctive and interesting, and then there's their Strat-type.
All that said, I really respect John Frusciante and now I've stated this publicly I'll probably end up buying a Strat next week...

I don’t really understand why the reverend signature range is so heavily made up of strat and Tele shapes. It kinda seems like the artists endorsing them don’t like their original designs.

Yeah I kind of have the same feeling, I'm a Strat lover, but don't know why you'd become a Reverend endorsee and say 'I just want a Strat' (or tele) - Reverend's whole thing is there unique design aesthetic.Jonny wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 3:45 pm It really looks like "Just Another Strat".

Seems like Fender may have released this Warhark 390 'copy' to retaliate haha

Really like the look of the strat! I do want another Reverend in my life! Really enjoyed the 3x p90 model that i had for a little while (sellers remorse). Oooohhhh, would dig a Billy Corgan sig too!

Re: Reverend does a Strat copy
I'd still feel like I was missing out by not having Fender on the headstock, they make so many cool unique guitars so this is a weird choice for them...
