180 Quid
That's a bit of a fright indeed, roughly same cost as mine from the US. Yours just arrived a whole bunch faster! I'm not much of a tele guy but I have to say that looks stunning. I bet it plays great too.
An undeliberate but fitting typo!

It plays lovely, set-up is perfect, I just had to pull a little relief out of the neck where its settled over time. Neck has that new nitro "stickiness" but that should pass after a few hours playing. I'll put Elixirs on it in the new year and give the fretboard some lemon oil. The pickups are great, lots of bite and chime, I think the rosewood necks keep the ice-pick in check too.

I have GAS for a Vox amp now

That colour is fantastic

Was looking at a guitar from Andertons. The risk has been putting me off ordering but this gives me confidence

Just saying, if you guys are looking at higher end Fender stuff especially, do give your local retailer a ring, they might be able to come pretty close to the price of importing. In this case that colour isn't even in the country by the looks of it so importing was probably the only option, but when you're talking about a $3-4 k guitar there's quite a bit of margin at NZ RRP. A smaller retailer like myself or whoever is in your town would probably be happy to do a fairly decent discount on a special order as long as they're still making something. You'll also get a local warranty and be supporting local business.

Re bitting top end with teles, I’ve been using 100% nickel strings with good results. Warmer, rounder...work great on single coils.
