We all love that natural looking arm-rub wear...

Nope. Never.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I too learned that guitars and power tools do not mix. Was getting the old finish off my Chibson when I discovered that while the guitar does appear to have a maple cap, the flame top is but a veneer. Once wood has been turned into sawdust, it's difficult to put back where it was. Next time I strip the finish off a guitar I will be going the chemical route.

Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Yeah, I did actually consider it. Not confident spraying a metallic colour successfully or getting the Gibson correct shade.sizzlingbadger wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 11:25 amShould of done a gold top !mr_sooty wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 10:38 am I too learned that guitars and power tools do not mix. You're not really a true forum member till you have your "thing" that defines you

I reckon that looks ok, I’d totally put an arm contour on a Tele if I ever end up with one.

I did put a humbucker in the bridge too, but I can't find the photos.
