Yeah I've always wondered that. I've not gigged myself since 1993, does that add or subtract to my value?Slowy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 07, 2020 11:24 amI really want to ask RaidO what difference gigging a guitar makes. Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

My Anniversary Standard went for $3,333. So north of $3k for a clean sunburst LP seems doable.

Re: NGD - Gibson LEs Paul Classic
I was thinking that - but I'd probably have to let it sit, and wait for the right buyer wouldn't I? Hopefully I can achieve something close to that, but I'm not holding my breath

Re: NGD - Gibson LEs Paul Classic
I would say $3k is a good asking price for a Standard in good condition like yours is, well that's as far as the buyer is concerned. Guessing an LP Classic could be a little either side of that?
You have the knowledge of what you paid for it, so as long as you get that back in your pocket after TM take their cut. Anything more than that is a nice bonus

Yeah - I listed on the no fees promotion, so even if I don't get top dollar, I'm saving $200ish in fees.Mini Forklift wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 10:29 am I would say $3k is a good asking price for a Standard in good condition like yours is, well that's as far as the buyer is concerned. Re: NGD - Gibson LEs Paul Classic
Ah perfect. Well seeing as you won't get pinged for fees I'd be happy to lay down a decent bid if you wanted me to drive it up a bit, gotta be a good thing for the auction too if there's plenty of different people biddingAiRdAd wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 10:49 amYeah - I listed on the no fees promotion, so even if I don't get top dollar, I'm saving $200ish in fees.Mini Forklift wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 10:29 am I would say $3k is a good asking price for a Standard in good condition like yours is, well that's as far as the buyer is concerned.
