did it feel scratchy when you bent?
Yeah, a little. Not like it's getting caught so much, but more that they feel slightly tacky.

I'll talk to RS and see what they say.

I had another play of it and it was almost certainly the dry fret board. It felt better just from playing it for a short while.

...But that's not going to be a problem because I bought it !!
