Whats your favourite telecaster colour combination?

Post by Zaulkin »

Hey folks,

I have been slowly working on a korina tele project. The neck is going to be a caramel colour similar to roasted maple - quite excited to see how it will turn out when I (eventually...) finish it.

In terms of possible colours - I find it hard to look beyond butterscotch blonde with a black pickguard, but I'm looking for inspiration.

Whats the hottest telecaster colour you've seen recently? Post pics.

I'm about to repaint a tele. I'll be looking at guitars here for inspiration.

I really like black with double cream binding, but it has to be the perfect black not plastic looking and it only works if its a bit dirty and rusty.

I also like this if it had an even more realistic looking relic job https://www.peachguitars.com/guitars/el ... y-mist.htm but I have spent to many years looking at guitars so I'll probably lean towards things that are a bit less common.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Yes, Tru Oil. No dye, it's 10 years old and has yellowed over the years. Looks good to me.

Tru-oil does add a yellow tinge to things, you need to keep that in mind when you are dyeing things :)
